Sky News: Why I had to launch new charity Caudwell Youth

Following the announcement of new charity Caudwell Youth, British philanthropist, business leader and Phones 4U founder John Caudwell joined Anna Jones on the Sky News Breakfast sofa to explain why he had to get involved in his latest good cause.

Caudwell Youth supports at-risk young people aged 11 to 24 through person-centred volunteer mentoring for up to two years. The charity’s goal is to ensure that these young people are empowered to shape their own futures threatened by poor access to statutory help, challenging home dynamics and poverty.

Caudwell stepped in to keep this vital service going when a previous charity fell into financial difficulty. “Our success rate is immense, and the benefit to society is really crystal clear,” he said in his Sky interview.
