On the day that yet another Downing Street lockdown party came to light, business leader, philanthropist and Phones 4U founder John Caudwell was interviewed on BBC News about the implications for Boris Johnson and his Government.
“We do need ethical politics,” said John. “It’s terrible when leaders don’t lead by example.”
If Johnson is unable to clean up Downing Street, he should step aside, according to John.
News anchor Ben Brown also questioned Caudwell about his previous £500,000 donation to the Conservatives at the 2019 General Election and whether he would give money to the party going forward.
During the interview, Brown extensively cited comments John initially posted today on his Instagram account.
