Sky News: ‘I do worry about changing the Prime Minister at this moment’

After Boris Johnson faced another explosive Prime Minister’s Questions, which included the defection of one Conservative MP to the Labour Party and the call from former Cabinet minister and fellow Brexiteer David Davis to ‘in the name of God, go’, previous party donor John Caudwell joined Dermot Murnaghan on Sky News to discuss the latest in the partygate crisis.

John said: “If the PM stays in power, he must clean up these acts. He must make sure he is in control of his party, in control of his people, the law is abided by and they have no more issues of sleaze and potential corruption. That is crucial.”

The situation, said John, is “farcical, to be honest, but I will wait for the results of the inquiry.” He added that he worries about changing the Prime Minister at a precarious moment for the country and the economy post-pandemic.
